Minimum Nominee Requirements:

To qualify for a Women of the Year (WOTY) in Technology Award, nominees must:

  • Hold a business, technology or scientific leadership role in a company whose primary product is in the technology field OR maintain a leadership position in the technology or science department of a non-technology organization with authority over an IT operation, including but not limited to technology hardware, software, technical program management, telecommunications, and support desk/network operations center
  • Be employed by a Georgia-based business/organization or a division/subsidiary with a significant leadership role in Georgia
  • Hold a leadership or STEAM position with a technology company OR hold a STEAM position in a non-technology company
  • Perform a managerial role within her organization and hold a budgetary responsibility

The following is a two-part nomination form. This first page contains qualification questions. The next page has more detailed questions. Once you have completed the next page, your form will be submitted. Please be thorough in explaining WHY this person should be considered for a 2019 WIT Award. More details and specifics will help them move on to future phases in the selection process.

The 2019 WIT Women of the Year Nomination form will close August 16, 2019 at 12:00AM EST

A selection committee comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds will review nomination applications. A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate nominees and select the recipient of the Women of the Year in Technology Award in each of the ​four categories using the following criteria:


o   Nominee's role and responsibilities in her organization

o   Nominee’s demonstrated leadership and impact on her organization

o   Nominee's demonstrated leadership and impact on organizations outside of the workplace

o   Nominee’s positive impact through mentoring

o   Nominee’s impact on fostering the mission of WIT

Is your nominee employed by a Georgia-based business or organization? Or does your nominee hold a significant role in Georgia as part of a division or subsidiary of a larger company outside of Georgia?

Is your nominee in a management role with budgetary responsibility directly leading an Information Technology, Sciences or Engineering Function?

Is your nominee in a management role with budgetary responsibility within a technology-centric company?

Does your nominee have a minimum of one year of managerial experience within her current organization as of March 1, 2018?

Does your nominee have a primary residence in Georgia?
